Annular cutter does not cut at exactly 0.62"

This tool can be used to reduce a barrel OD (outside diameter) within close proximity to the size needed for 5/8-24 threads. The barrel OD can start out no larger than 1.000 for this to work properly. Extreme caution must be observed and we recommend only experienced machinists perform this operation.

The cutter should be ran at slow RPMs (around 200), lubricated constantly, and a pilot used to keep it centered on the barrel properly.

A pilot and drill chuck shank adapter are included in this kit.

I do a lot of machining type work by hand.  This kit allowed me to cut down a.920 bull barrel to aid in threading for a flask hider.  Be patient and take your time and use a strong battery drill on low settings and you will be happy with the results.  Clean the cutter very often and use plenty of cutting oil.

Worked beautifully on both a steel 30-06 barrel and a stainless .308 barrel! The cutter went together easily and was easy to use. The design allows the chamber guide stud to rotate freely so that is stays stationary inside the barrel so there is no marring up the inside of the barrel. There are instructions for assembly but not for use, so you MUST educate yourself on the proper use of the tool. This and the threading kit I purchased had paid for themselves half way through the second barrel! High quality tools at reasonable prices! Highly recommended!
