Annular cutter does not cut at exactly 0.500"

This tool can be used to reduce a barrel OD (outside diameter) within close proximity to the size needed for 1/2" threads. The barrel OD can start out no larger than .875 for this to work properly. Extreme caution must be observed and we recommend only experienced machinists perform this operation.

The cutter should be ran at slow RPMs (around 200), lubricated constantly, and a pilot used to keep it centered on the barrel properly.

Pilots and drill chuck shank adapters are needed and are available on this site.

I ordered this cutter along with the pilot and holder. Took all of maybe 2 minutes after assembly to turn the bbl down.
