Galil style weapons have long been a favorite of CNC Warrior. For many years we were the primary US company manufacturing Galil style milled receivers in various calibers and configurations (SAR, MAR, pistol). Our sidefolding stocks and braces are obviously derived from the time-tested hinge design that Galils incorporate. We never expected that they would be compatible as replacement components for modern Galil weapons but have been pleasantly surprised that ,with some modification, they indeed do exhibit very good fit and function.
After many customer requests, we have modified a small number of our buttstocks and braces to be used in this fashion. We have made the necessary clearance cuts and then chemically blacked the affected area. We've tested multiple stocks and braces with very good results regarding alignment, fit, and strength. The hinge arms are made from top quality, very durable 7075 aluminum. With proper usage (unlocking fully before folding in either direction) they will provide many years of dependable service.
All models fold into place parallel to the receiver and reside under the ejection port for safe shooting from the folded position.
We are very pleased to offer these now as replacement parts for modern Galil Ace pistols. The arm braces are in very short supply since we are currently experiencing record-high demand for all weapons that we support. However, we are running non-stop to catch up with orders and have been shipping within approx 2-3 weeks recently.
All NFA rules apply regarding the use of the buttstock models so you must consider federal regulations before mounting it if the gun will then constitute a short barreled rifle.
