This brake is an excellent replacement for the AK slant brake that came on my VZ2008. When shooting with this brake on it creates an awesome concussive force that can be most felt by people to the direct right and direct left of the muzzle. I am somewhat sensitive to recoil and this brake makes my VZ2008 very comfortable to shoot. Though this muzzle brake does not hide flash very well it dampens muzzle climb and rearward recoil by, maybe, as much as 45%. If you are looking to reduce recoil on your VZ2008 then look no further than the Night Brake.

I've had this on my vz 58 for almost 2 years now and have put hundreds of rounds through it. It seems to work well for muzzle climb and recoil but becomes a fire breather as the sun goes down. It shoots a flash out horizontally on both sides consistently reaching a good foot and a half. The blast and sound don't seem to be increased too much however. Not great for guerrilla fighting but awesome for impressing friends, especially for the price!

Night Brake w/ detent notches on VZ 2008

Installed over existing M14x1RH thread with no problem and locked into place with detent notches. You will need a good AK front sight tool to re-zero your rifle. My VZ 2008 came from Century misaligned 18 inches right windage with the factory Slant Brake installed. My CNC Warrior Night Brake dropped elevation from the Slant Brake alignment to 18 inches low. Lowering the front sight post with my AK sight tool brought my sights into perfect alignment at 50 yards. The Night Brake is great looking and sounding. Noticeable drop in muzzle rise from the Slant Brake and I have not seen any muzzle flash in my peep sight during twilight shooting. The blinding factory Slant Brake lit up my sights like a 1950's flash bulb. The Night Brake reduction in flash is the reason I gave this Brake a try. It's crisp report and drop in muzzle rise is a real plus to it's design.
